We compared American Idol vs The Voice ratings all season, with the latter edging out the former in the ratings race. But it’s worth noting that another competitive reality show blew both series numbers out of the water. FOX The Masked Singer ended the season on Wednesday on a high with a 3.2 1-49 key demo rating, and 9 million viewers.
Here’s how the season looked. Outside of the massive Super Bowl numbers, and low rated clip shows, The Masked Singer averaged a 2.0 in the demo. It’s worth noting that The Masked Singer finished taping the season before the coronavirus pandemic shut movie and TV production down. The Voice and American Idol aired their live shows remotely. The Masked Singer would have beat them regardless, but by as much.
