America’s Got Talent 2026 Auditions 3 Recap and Live Blog
America’s Got Talent continues tonight (June 16) as Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Mel B. take their seats on the panel for the talent show’s 21st season. Terry Crews serves as host.
This season brings a new twist later on in the Judging process: A new round of competition called the Judges’ Callbacks round which will give Acts another golden opportunity to make it all the way to the Season 21 finals.
The Golden Buzzers are back, of course. All the panelists and Terry can award two buzzers to acts they feel should advance straight to the live shows. That is 10 buzzers total.
Sprice Machines (Mark Robbins & Steve Price) – Chain reaction artists
It’s a huge chain reaction machine, and Terry kicks it off. The contraption begins off stage. It seems to die, but then it comes back to life and finishes it’s run. It snakes around the judges table. It’s a fun thing. Success in the end!
Simon calls it “amazing.” Sofia marvels at the hard work it took. Mel needed commentary. As she does. Mel says no, the rest say yes. 3 yeses, one no
Come Here – Dance group
The group is from South Korea and gave themselves the name for “no reason.” The group executes precice dance moves. It’s an interesting mix of hip hop, and oddly enough, contemporary and ballet. Some acrobatics are thrown in as well.
Mel B calls it fantastic. Howie calls them amazing, complimenting their choregraphy. Sofia is impressed. Simon calls them really really talented. He notes the obvious work they put into it. But they only rehearsed it for two weeks! – 4 yeses
Ryan Inzero – Sign Spinner
The 25 year old works in marketing for his family’s business. I have no idea what’s going on. He’s tossing around a sign? Why didn’t he get buzzed? Mel really liked it? What?
Simon compares him to a drunk guy on New Years Eve. 3 nos, 1 yes
Infinite Spin
The female quartet are business women from Sacramento. The start out in business suits before changing into crazy outfits. Basically, they use their boobs as sparklers. It’s nutty. Howie and Simon love it, of course! Mel loved the goofy sign spinner, but buzzes these gals.
Simon asks them if they had a few drinks. “It made me laugh.” Mel wanted slicker choreography. She says no. Howie also says no. Simon would have said yes – It’s a NO
Young & Strange – Magicians
The duo have been performing together for 15 years. The two met when they were close up magicians. They took every gig offered to them. Their dream is a Vegas show. They call themselves “grand illusionists.” The two are pretty funny. One of the dudes crawl into a box sat on the judges table. The other shoves sharp sticks through it. He whips out all the sticks, and the boxed in guy emerges unscathed. I like the way they mixed humor into a fun trick.
Sofia loved it. Mel B calls it “crazy magic.” Howie would go see them in Vegas. Simon isn’t jumping out of his chair. He found them “annoying.” – 3 yeses I guess Simon said no
Isaac Atkins – Singer – Mel B Golden Buzzer
From Lewiston, Maine, he’s a sergeant in the army. He took a few days off from the military to audition. He’s been in the army for six years. He started making TikToks of his singing.. He’s got deep sonorous speaking voice. He starts his performance with a falsetto, which is surprising. He sings “Beggin'” by the Four Seasons. He performs the modern rap part. He’s obviously nervous and inexperienced. But he’s got a decent tone.
Mel B is enthusiastic. Sofia calls his voice sexy. Then, Mel B hits her Golden Buzzer. Hm. Decent, but not Golden Buzzer worthy. He’s very surprised befoe bursting into tears. I wonder if Isaac is part of some promotion deal with the army?
Cris Sosa – Comedian
Cris describes being fired from every normal job he’s had. He’s been grinding for 13 years. He describes himself as Puerto Rican, Dominican and Mexican. He doesn’t know Spanish. He jokes that his parents taught him to speak English with an accent. He’s pretty good at imitating voices. He’s amusing!
Simon calls him seriously funny. “Every part of that routine was funny.” Sofia says, “You didn’t miss one joke.” Mel B says Cris gave her a proper belly laugh. Howie gives him the first yes – 4 yeses
Bety – Singer
Bety is from Valencia, Spain and 17 years old. It’s her first time in America. Her brother is with her. She’s dreamt of competing on AGT. She sings “”If The World Was Ending””with the quintessential pop girl tone. She’s decent, especially for her young age. She drops in some Spanish singing to set her apart. She finishes the song in tears.
Mel B feels she has so much potential. She calls it a “recording voice.” Howie calls her sound unique. Sofia calls her energy “beautiful.” Simon calls her performance a “masterclass in how to sing a song.” He adds, “You nailed that.” – 4 yeses
LaRussell – Singers/dancers/musicians
He works for the UPS, but dreamed of being a singer. He built a live performance space in his Northern California hometown. He brings a bunch of his hometown friends with him. He raps as his friends dance along and perform on instruments. One gal is a harpist! It’s a feel good act.
Sofia loved it. Mel B noted it wasn’t perfect, but that the group had camaraderie. Simon genuinely loved it. He loved the group dynamic. – 4 yeses
Guy Kelton Jones – Poet/Singer
He was born in New York, but raised in the south. He does the spoken word poet thing. He’s solid! Oh he’s also a singer as he launches into Stevie Wonder’s Higher Ground. I gotta say, one thing I appreciate about AGt is how it’s ignored the trend to not be “woke.” The show features acts from all over the world and also pointedly political acts like this guy. I’m surprised the usual suspects aren’t complaining about it.
Simon called the performance “very powerful.” Mel loved it. Sofia notes how heartfelt he was. “You are so much more than just a poet” says Howie. Guy mentions that he comes from a long line of poets. – 4 yeses
Akira – Variety act (hide the junk!)
His parents wanted Akira to get a normal job. He’s 51 years old and from Japan. He’s been performing his act for 10 years. He begins the act dressed in Chinos and a nice suit jacket. But he exits the stage to stripped down except for a pie plate. We’ve seen goofy acts like this before. He flips objects in front of his junk without revealing the goods, if you know what I mean. Mel buzzes him, naturally. But the crowd loves him.
Mel can’t believe he came all the way from Japan. Simon thought it was beautiful. He loves him. Sofia liked it, despite not wanting to like it. Howie loved it. Mel says no, the rest say yes. And Mel loved that stupid sign spinner act. 3 yeses, 1 no
