TEN American Idol Label Artists Take Part in Nashville Showcases (UPDATED)

Noah Thompson HunterGirl Allegra Miles Fritz Hager

Look at this! It’s a 19 takeover at the Whiskey Jam in Nashville on Thursday July 28. Presumably “19” is 19 Recordings, which is the recording arm of American Idol producers, 19 Entertainment. After the dust settles on an American Idol season, 19R signs the winner of the show to a recording contract. But often, they sign additional contestants from the season as well.

UPDATE: Another label showcase is schedule for July 29 at Nashville’s Hutton Hotel. It’s the same group minus HunterGirl, but with season 20 winner Chayce Beckham and season 18 singer Dillon James added to the mix. Dillon is an odd one. He hasn’t released any new music since signing with 19/UMG Nashville in 2020, but he HAS been dumping clips from a ton of demos on his social media….

19R has not officially announced any signings from season 20

The event looks to be a showcase of artists 19 currently has on it’s roster. The label has not officially announced any signings from season 20. Presumably, winner Noah Thompson signed with 19R, likely in partnership with BBR records, where season 19 winner Chayce Beckham is signed.

19R and the label’s recording partner BMG introduced Noah and runner-up HunterGirl, both country artists, at the CMA Festival in Nashville back in June. Hunter has teased a demo called “Hometown Out of Me.” All signs point to a 19R deal for Hunter. A spot on this showcase is more proof.

Also on the bill is Top 5 singer Fritz Hager who dropped an independent EP in February and sang several original songs on the show. Like HunterGirl, he is writing and recording demos and teasing them on social media. Season 18 alum Francisco Martin co-wrote Fritz’s winners single “Hearts Align” and has been working with the singer in the studio.

As far as his own career is concerned, Francisco has released numerous singles on the 19R label, including an EP, Beautiful Ramblings of a Restless Mind. His sophomore EP, Manic, comes out on August 26.

Allegra Miles signed to 19R?

But the surprise artist on the bill is the talented songwriter Allegra Miles, who voters eliminated before the Top 11. This is the first hint that 19 signed a singer outside of the Top 10.

The rest of the roster includes season 19 Top 4 rocker Casey Bishop, who has released her debut single, “Bad Dream”  via 19R/BMG and is currently working on her debut EP. 19R signed Grace Leer after Season 18 ended. She recently released a new song “After 1”

When 19R signed season 17 country chanteuse, Laci Kaye Booth, in a joint deal with Big Machine Records, she dropped by American Idol a year later later to announce the big news. She recently released her debut self-titled set

Noah will release a studio recording of his game-changing American Idol cover, a countrified rendition of Rihanna’s “Stay.” on July 29.

Eight American Idol alums performing together in Nashville. It’s the biggest showcase yet of contestants outside of the American Idol tour.
