America’s Got Talent 2026 Auditions 6 Recap and Live Blog

America’s Got Talent continues tonight (July 14) as Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Mel B. take their seats on the panel for the talent show’s 21st season. Terry Crews serves as host.

This season brings a new twist later on in the Judging process: A new round of competition called the Judges’ Callbacks round which will give Acts another golden opportunity to make it all the way to the Season 21 finals.

The Golden Buzzers are back, of course. All the panelists and Terry can award two buzzers to acts they feel should advance straight to the live shows. That is 10 buzzers total.

Yukuta – Joke contestant

Yukuta, a garbage collector is a garbage collector from Japan. Oh. He’s some kind of a joke contestant who imitates Simon conducting his morning routine….or something. Mel buzzes him right away. Howie loves it. He gives the act a yes, Mel says no, Sofia says yes and then Simon says yes. The act had him standing on his head with a picture of Simon coming out of his but. Pretty stupid. 3 yeses, 1 no

Cameron Logsdon – Impressionist

He talks about being a teen parent and now that he’s in college, he’s doing his thing. Cameron hands out resumes of celebrities who would make could good judges. The judges call out names, and Cameron performs impressions on the spot. Not bad. His Will Smith is pretty funny.

Sofia calls him brilliant and fun. Mel wanted more of a story. Howie loved it. Simon calls it original. 3 yeses, 1 no. Mel continues to be annoying.

Carolina Mic – Comic rapper

He’s a systems architect by day. He’s another joke contestant. He raps about what he’d do with a million dollars. Presumably the AGT prize money. Weirdly, all the judges buzzed him except Mel B.

Simon calls it monontonous. Mel identifies with him, she says yes. 1 yes, 3 nos. The audience sings along. Going for the viral thing.

Viola Panik and Mister Punch – Puppeteer

She’s dressed in sequins and feathers while puppets peak out from behind her. THen OH IT’S TWO PEOPLE including a guy. It’s pretty crazy.

Sofia calls it weird. Simon calls it a strange kids show from the 70s. They are burlesque performers, it turns out – No

Naimana & Danielle – Ventriloquists

The romantic couple are from Italy. Oh. More puppets and stuff. But they sing Nessun Dorma as a comedic bit. Basically, they are ventriloquists. Took me a bit to figure it out. The audience loves it.

Sofia calls it surprising and confusing. Howie doesn’t know what it is but he loves it. Mel, of course, is confused. She’s annoying! Simon namechecks Terry. “I think you are really, reall talented.” – 3 yeses, 1 no.

Nicole Tissington – Weird eater

She eats raw chicken, which is a very very bad idea. Then she slices up a shoe but it’s cake. She makes things that look like weird things but are actually cake. Including the “raw chicken.” Kind of pointless. No.

Butter & Grit – Singing duo

The two are friends who live in Nashville. They write songs and sing. They come to the AGT stage with a band. They aren’t bad. Not really outstanding, though. Mel appears to be enjoying herself for once. Howie will probably hate it, as he’s wont to do.

Mel B. wants to be friends with them. “You brought the fun.” Oh. Howie likes it! He calls it “real Americana.” Simon compares it to a Cracker Barrell commercial. But he likes it? Sofia calls them super likeable – 4 yeses

Veronika Goroshkova – Aerialist – Sofia’s 2nd Golden Buzzer

She moved to America from Ukraine 4 years ago. Her mom is here to support her. Interestingly, a platform is set up right behind the judges table. If she falls from the rope the wrong way, it’s splat. At one point, she hangs only by her legs. Looks slippery.

Simon calls it a “gold medal performance.” She loved her showmanship. Perfection, he calls it. Sofia was into it. But she thought the vantage point was weird…oh FAKE OUT. She likes ot so much, that she hits her golden buzzer – Sofia’s Golden Buzzer

Elsie – Singer-songwriter

Thirty-two year old Elsie is a mom from Mississippi. She’s finally pursuing her dream to be a songwriter and singer. She performs a swampy song with soul. The song has religious overtones, but with a dollop of retribution.

Well, the crowd loves it. Mel B. calls her an amazing singer, but didn’t like the original song. Howie calls her a star. But he also didn’t like the song. Sofia also did not love the song. Simon thinks she’s got what it takes. He feels she over prepared. Howie says no. Sofia says yes. Simon says yes, Mel also says yes, with misgivings – 1 no 3 yeses
