Casey Bishop’s hometown, Estero, Florida planned a hometown visit for her, just in case she made the American Idol Top 3. But alas, voters eliminated the young rock singer in 4th place.
The remaining contestants, Grace Kinstler, Willie Spence and Chayce Beckham traveled to their respective homes to a hero’s welcome, while an American Idol camera crew followed them every step of the way. Producers edited the footage into emotional packages that accompanied the contestant’s performances during the finale. Chayce Beckham would go on to win the competition.
While the Top 3 celebrated, Casey’s hometown put her party on hold while she stayed in Los Angeles to prepare for the finale. But finally, Florida is ready to celebrate their favorite American Idol contestant!
Casey will perform Saturday, June 19, in the parking lot of Fort Myers concert venue, Buddha LIVE, reports the News-Press. It’s the teen singer’s first-ever concert in Southwest Florida.
“She’s a hometown hero,” Brad Cozza, owner of Colleoni’s Ristorante Italiano said Wednesday. “She’s super-excited to play. She’ll be playing in front of her close friends and Southwest Florida, in general.” The restaurant is co-sponsoring the event.
The outdoor concert has a maximum capacity of 1,000 people, Cozza said. It will start at 6 p.m. and features opening acts The Dead Ataris, Matty Jollie and DJ Rifik.
Casey will perform with a live band. Tickets are on sale now. They’re $20 for general admission and $50 for VIP, including light food and a private bar. More details about the show will be announced at a later date.
In the meantime, Casey got a new guitar. Will the cool sponsorships begin soon?
