Kelly Clarkson Sends Out a Thank You After a Challenging Year
“Shout out 2 every single guest I’ve had while taping my show this summer,” Kelly wrote on Twitter. “This year has been challenging, overwhelming & sometimes it feels like hope is lost BUT I have had the honor of meeting some incredible humans doing amazing things & keeping hope alive &I want 2 say THANK U”
Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce, her husband responded
One of Kelly’s biggest challenges this years was likely filing for divorce from husband of 7 years, Brandon Blackstock back in June. The pair have two children together, 5-year-old River Rose and 4-year-old Remington Alexander.
To add to the stress, Blackstock recently replied to Kelly’s divorce petition. While he agrees with Kelly’s desire for joint custody of the children, he did not immediately respond to Kelly’s monetary stipulations. She petitioned the court to deny spousal support, and enforce the prenuptial agreement the two signed before their marriage.
But on the upside, Kelly won AN EMMY in the Best Daytime Talk Show Host category for her outstanding year on the highly rated The Kelly Clarkson Show, renewed for a second season.
The Voice season 19 Blind Auditions begin next week
Beyond the ups and downs, the best tonic for stress is work. Kelly still has plenty on her plate. Next week, The Voice season 19 Blind Auditions will begin taping with a VIRTUAL AUDIENCE. And no doubt, along with plenty of rules to keep Kelly and fellow coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and host Carson Daly safe during the Covid-19 pandemic. Filming will take place on July 29, August 3, August 4, August 5, August 6 and August 7.
