Pop singer, Kelly Clarkson, announced the name and release date of her hotly anticipated new single on twitter!
The name of the single is “Heartbeat Song” set for a 1/12/15 release date! The singer is encouraging fans to retweet the news in order to unlock a preview (Can I say that I hate these types of promotions? JUST RELEASE THE TEASER PLEASE! Ha)

Over the weekend, Kelly dropped a few clues about the upcoming song on twitter. Fans got right to work and managed guess the song correctly after finding the title on ASCAP. Go fans!
Kelly’s “Heartbeat Song” is written by Audra Mae, Kelly Clarkson, Kara Dioguardi and Jason Evigan. It is the first single off of the singer’s upcoming album, due out later this year.
Kelly also hinted that she collaborated on the album with singer/songwriter, Sia (Chandelier). No target date for the album yet, but Kelly revealed that she’ll be touring this summer.
Also Kelly has been hinting at another cut on the album, a duet with a male she has yet to identify. She has said that the song “is so kind of out of the box for both of us, but kind of in our lanes.” Kelly has refused to drop even a clue about this mystery male crooner, but she did say, “It’s an amazing singer, and everyone loves him!”
UPDATE: Kelly released a tease of “Heartbeat Song” in the most adorable way possible! River Rose, the singer’s baby daughter, giggles and bops along as she listens on headphones. “Dance it out! Dance it out!” coos Kelly. Aw. SWEETNESS!
