Grace Kinstler won the Live with Kelly & Ryan “American Idol Encore” contest “with the most fan support in Live Idol Encore history!” according to a tweet from Live.
The “American Idol Encore” contest, in its fourth year, has featured alums Cade Foehner, Madison Vandenburg and Julia Gargano. Does that mean Grace garnered the most votes of any former contest winner? Or that she won by the highest percent? In any case, Grace has PEOPLE. And they love her.
The season 20 2nd runner-up actually travelled to New York City to perform her winners single “Love Somebody” right on the Live stage, allowing hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos (stepping in for Ryan Seacrest) to interview her in person. Both the winner, Chayce Beckham and runner-up Willie Spence performed on Live virtually from the American Idol Los Angeles production. Needless to say, Grace received a major upgrade!

After Grace performed a lovely version of “Love Somebody,” Kelly noted that none other than rap star Drake followed her on Instagram! Grace admits that she isn’t getting much sleep, but is “happy to be tired and working.”
