Watch newly-crowned American Idol winner Laine Hardy perform his coronation single “Flame” from Thursday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Fans watching the show didn’t see this performance. Laine actually sat in with the band all night, performing a variety of tunes, including “Flame.” But they served as intros and outros to commercials, unfortunately!
Laine also performed “Born on the Bayou,” “Long Tall Sally,” and more through commercial breaks.
The singer was crowned the new American Idol in a three hour finale on May 19. Immediately after, Laine flew to New York City and appeared on Good Morning America, Live with Kelly & Ryan, The View and more.
The Louisiana native made his Billboard chart debut, opening at No. 2 on Emerging Artists. “Flame” landed at No. 8 on Digital Song Sales with 18,000 sold.
Laine recently signed a deal with Hollywood Records and 19 and is currently working on his forthcoming album.
