OMG Ryan Seacrest! Stop it! You make me hate myself and my slacker ways!

After conquering the worlds of radio and TV hosting, reality TV and entertainment news production, it’s time for Ryan to conquer the world of scripted television.

Hell, why not? A billion jobs? What’s one more? On the heels of announcing a new reality show following a group of young, wealthy LA Persians, Deadline is reporting that Ryan is finalizing a deal with Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein to adapt the best-selling 2002 book, The Nanny Diaries.

What a horrible story. Singer/songwriter, Gavin DeGraw is recovering in the hospital after a vicious attack.

Police say Gavin suffered a broken nose and a cut to his face after he was beaten up by “unknown male attackers” early Monday morning in the East Village in New York City. That’s bad enough, right? Minutes later, dazed and confused, he was struck by a taxi.

Gavin’s people just issued a press release. Read it after the jump.

Update2: Gavin is out of the hospital. He will miss planned concerts Tuesday in Saratoga Springs, NY and two shows this weekend.
