From the Hollywood Reporter:
The reality series hit a series high in total viewers as well as several key demographics, including the advertiser-beloved 18-49, with its most recent episode Sunday.
Glee Project, which will see its winner land a seven-episode guest arc on Fox’s musical dramedy, drew a series high 912, 000 total viewers, up 16 percent week-over-week, and up 100 percent since its June 12 premiere when it struggled to draw an audience opposite the Tony Awards.
In the key 18-49 demo, Sunday’s episode also hit a series high, ticking up 31 percent (442, 000 vs. 338, 000). The series gained 26 percent among women 18-49, and was up 24 percent in women 25-54, with a 22 percent gain in viewers 25-54.
I’m really happy to see that The Glee Project has caught on, because it means that a second season will probably happen. Whatever brain trust thought it was a good idea to premiere opposite the frakking Tonys probably needs to be fired. In any case, I love The Glee Project. Hooray for its success.
