In this first look at The Voice season 21, watch new coach Ariana Grande get right into the swing of things.
“Is everybody obsessed here with Ariana Grande?”asks Blake. And it seems that everybody is! Regardless, Blake is extending the newbie an “olive branch.” But only, of course, when he’s not in the mix. “Never trust him!” John warns. “I don’t!” she says.
“Ariana is so talented,” offers John, “[She] has a very fine-tuned ear. It’s going to be hard to convince someone to come to Team Legend. But I’m going to make my case!”
Kelly shares that she loves “…being able to give someone the opportunity and the chance to be able to do what I’ve been able to do.” She is referring to launching a superstar career after being the OG American Idol winner in 2002.
“I am super moved by how brilliant the performers are,” gushes Ariana, before clips of the singer telling artists how she “only wants to help” them. At one point, the newbie coach shows off her very special button with a message for her potential team members. Hint: Singing “thank u” is involved.
Blake shares: “Every now and then you get that artist…they just don’t realize what they are capable of.”
