Survivor 32 Kaoh Rong – Week 12 Live Blog

A new episode of Survivor: Kaoh Rong airs tonight on CBS. Read a live recap and join the discussion here.

The episode begins with the tribe returning to camp. Tai says he almost played his idol after Jason’s plea to take him out. Jason feels he is a persuasive person, so he gets to scheming. He tells Cydney and Michele it would be smart to go to the end with him and target Tai and Aubry. Michele wanted to prove her loyalty to the alliance, so that’s why she voted out Julia. She sees the benefits in going to the end with Jason, but she wants to stay loyal. Meanwhile, Tai tells Joe and Aubry he has an extra vote. Tai wants either Jason or Michele gone next. He knows Jason is targeting him, and he thinks Michele is a more well-rounded player.

We next see Mark the chicken eating a worm. The tribe is entertained by how fast Mark ate it, and Jason comments how he gave up on eating that chicken days ago. Mark was Tai’s pet, but now the tribe likes the chicken too. Afterwards, Jason complains to Joe. Jason is upset about being on the bottom of the tribe, but he still wants to play. In his confessional, Joe comments on how bad Jason’s attitude is and how he doesn’t have a lot of respect for the others in the tribe or for the game.

It’s now a time for the reward challenge. They will be in two teams of three. The Blue Team is Jason, Michele, and Tai. The Yellow Team is Aubry, Cydney, and Joe. The challenge takes place in the water. Each team member will one at a time swim and climb onto a floating platform in the water until they reach the final platform that’s a maze. Once all three team members are on the maze platform, they will have to maneuver a ball to the center of the maze by walking around the platform. Where they put their weight will move the ball through the maze. The first team to get three balls into the slots in the center of the maze will win reward. For reward, the winning team will get to go to a wildlife refuge and enjoy a picnic. The challenge begins, and Jason and Joe are the first two to start. The Yellow Team falls behind as Joe is moving very slowly. Michele even gets to the maze before Joe finally gets there. Cydney is the next for the Yellow Team, and Aubry follows her. The Yellow Team seems to have caught up by the time everyone reaches their maze, but they struggle with the maze too. The Blue Team stays ahead and gets all their balls into the maze first. The Blue Team wins reward!

Aubry, Cydney, and Joe return to camp. Joe is very frustrated with his performance at the challenge, but he is determined to get to work around camp. However, he irritates Cydney by giving orders to her to tend to the fire. Cydney wanted to eat first, and she is really annoyed with Joe. She thinks he is being too demanding. Aubry also thinks Joe is being unnecessarily bossy. Meanwhile, Jason, Michele, and Tai are enjoying their reward. They get to interact with the animals there, including elephants and monkeys. Jason shares how his daughter loves animals and would get a kick out of seeing her father getting to be around all these animals. We also hear a confessional from Tai. He appreciates Jason showing his softer side, and he adds that he wants Michele to be the next one to leave. He says she has made no enemies on the jury and is a bigger threat than Jason. Michele also shares her thoughts in her confessional. She sees that Jason is trying to show his softer side at the reward, but she still doesn’t trust him. She says that if Jason doesn’t win immunity, then she wants him to be the next one voted out.

It’s time for the immunity challenge. They each must hold onto a rope that will help balance a table. While balancing the table, they must walk back and forth to collect and stack blocks of letters one at a time. The first person to stack all of his or her blocks that will spell out the word “immunity” will win. The challenge begins, and everyone is doing relatively well except for Cydney. She is way behind and Jeff comments that she is out of the running. Joe was leading the challenge, but he drops all of his blocks. He is now behind. And right afterwards, Michele and Aubry drop their blocks too. Tai takes the lead, but he is the next to drop his blocks. Jason is now in the lead, but he drops his blocks too. Now all of a sudden, Cydney is in the lead! Even though she was way behind, she is the only one who has yet to drop a block. However, she is moving slowly; someone can pass her. Michele, Tai, and Aubry get close to catching her, but they all drop their blocks too. Jason is now doing well and he only needs one more block. However, Cydney only needs one more block too. It’s really close between Cydney and Jason now. Jason manages to grab his eighth block before Cydney, and he is now in the lead. They both place their last blocks on their stacks at pretty much the same time, and now they just need to walk back and reach the starting station first. Whoever does without dropping his or her blocks will win immunity. And then Jason drops all of his blocks again right before he can win! Cydney only needs to walk a couple more steps and she does. Cydney wins immunity!

The tribe returns to camp. Tai has convinced himself that Michele is a bigger target than Jason, and he wants her gone next. He wants to sway the others, but Joe disagrees. He wants Jason gone. Before Tai can continue his plea, Michele comes to the ocean and joins the conversation. She agrees that Jason should go too. Michele walks away, and Tai tells Aubry that he thinks Michele is a bigger threat. She agrees with him. Tai also walks over to Jason and tells him to vote out Michele. However, Jason doesn’t trust Tai and plans to write Joe’s name tonight. Cydney and Joe are bothered by Tai pushing everyone to vote out Michele. They want Jason gone instead, and Cydney even tells Michele about Tai’s plan. Michele plans to do damage control at tribal council. She hopes it will be Jason leaving instead of her. Before tribal council, Cydney talks to Aubry about Tai trying to dictate the decision. Cydney is really bothered about Tai pushing his own agenda. Cydney asks Aubry if she will side with her or side with Tai. Aubry seems very torn, and she doesn’t know what to do. She tells Cydney it’s like Sophie’s Choice.

It’s time for tribal council. After discussion about the challenge, Cydney and Michele discuss Tai being too pushy about getting his way at the vote tonight. Cydney says it’s “his way or the highway.” Tai says he wanted more private time to talk to Cydney, and this comments unsettles Aubry and Michele. Aubry thought he had plenty of time to chat with Cydney. Michele wants to know why she couldn’t be included, and Tai says there is a smaller group within the alliance. Michele jumps on this comment and says that Tai already has a pecking order mapped out. It soon becomes a back and forth between Tai and Michele. Michele says that she is loyal, but Tai has turned on all his allies. Tai says that he never wanted to align with Michele and that she was just the extra person in the alliance. Jeff asks Jason how is he doing, and he seems happy that he’s not in the center of discussion right now.

It’s time for the vote. We see Michele vote for Jason and Tai vote for Michele. But who will be voted out tonight? And before Jeff goes tally the votes, Tai plays his advantage. He goes to cast his second vote and votes for Michele again.

Jeff reads the votes. The first vote is for…

Jason

Michele

Michele

Jason

Joe

Jason

Jason

Jason is voted out and the sixth member of the jury!
