The first song Noah released after American Idol was a cover of Rihanna’s “Stay,” a song he covered on American Idol earlier this year that put him on the road to the win. The newly recorded version, produced by Jimmy Robbins, is even more country than the rendition he performed on the show.

“I feel like my performance of ‘Stay’ was one of my bigger moments on the show, and after seeing the way fans reacted, I knew I wanted to put a Country version of the song out into the world,” Noah said in a press statement.

After the singer released his debut song “One Day Tonight” during the show, the catchy, romantic track immediately shot to No. 1 on iTunes All Genres and Country charts and is still garnering on-demand streams.

“From the second you meet Noah, you’re rooting for him,” said Robbins, who has penned 10 No. 1 singles. “Not only is he incredibly talented, but he’s one of the most genuine people I’ve worked with. When he steps up to the mic in the studio, it feels like he’s been doing this for years. I can’t wait to see what’s next for him.”

Noah heads out on tour with Idol runner-up HunterGirl

What’s immediately next for Noah? A co-headlining tour with runner-up HunterGirl, who recently announced her label deal with 19 Recordings/BMG. Her new single, “Hometown Out Of Me” will also be out on October 21 and is available for pre-order.

The tour kicks off on October 27 in Columbus, Ohio.  Fellow American Idol alums Grace Leer and Laci Kaye Booth will serve as openers on select dates. Click HERE for tickets.
