Maksim Chmerkovskiy Returning To Dancing With the Stars (REPORT)

Dancing with the Stars pro, Maksim Chmerkovskiy sat out a couple of seasons of of the dance competition. The break must have done him some good, because the polarizing pro will be returning to the dance floor when DWTS returns to ABC on March 17.

Too Fab broke the news:

Maksim Chmerkovskiy will return to “Dancing with the Stars” for Season 18, toofab has confirmed. And no, he’s not just stopping by to be a guest judge again — he’s coming back as a dance pro.

Sources tell toofab he was seen leaving a meeting with executives for the show today and — fans rejoice — it’s a done deal.

Right now, it’s unclear if Maks will do any additional seasons after this one, but for now, we’ll take what we can get!

Ah. Aren’t you looking forward to Maks mixing it up with judge Len Goodman, just like the old days?

There have been several changes made to the show for the new season, in the hopes of luring in younger viewers. Long time orchestra leader, Harold Wheeler, was replaced by ex-Idol bandleader, Ray Chew. And co-host, Brooke Burke, got the boot for FOX sports reporter, Erin Andrews who should bring some buzz to the show.
