Kelly Clarkson invited her kids, River Rose and Remy on stage to perform with her in Las Vegas
Kelly Clarkson invited her two kids on stage at her Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Chemistry show Friday night.
The American Idol OG winner brought her son Remington “Remy” Alexander, 7, and daughter River Rose, 9, onstage to perform with their superstar mommy.
Earlier, The Kelly Clarkson Show host shared a photo of the two cheesing it up on Instagram.
“Both of my kiddos backstage getting ready to join me on stage in Vegas,” Kelly wrote in the caption. “Nothing will ever be as cool and amazing as these two little humans that will always have my whole heart.”
“Give it up for Remy B!”
During the show, Kelly shared with the audience, “My son is seven years old. He picked the coolest song for a dude to pick. I was like, ‘He was destined for greatness just for loving this song alone.'”
She then welcomed “Remy B” onstage with her, yelling out, “Come on, buddy!” He ran out on stage and gave his mom a big hug.
She asked him if he was “ready to dance,” as she shared a discussion the two had before the performance. “He was like, ‘There’s gonna be a lot of people,’ and I was like, ‘No, we have dances all the time at our house.’ We dance, we pull a disco ball out and we just dance.”
Remy broke out his dance moves while his mother danced along before Kelly asked, “You picked which song?” He answered, “Whole Lotta Woman.” The singer performed her 2017 song from The Meaning of Life… while Remy did his thing.
“Give it up for Remy B!” Kelly shouted, giving him a goodbye hug and a kiss on the forehead.

River Rose was nervous, but belted “Heartbeat Song” with mom confidently
Later on in the show, Kelly introduced River Rose, who sang a duet with her mom. She shared that River has loved “Heartbeat Song” since she was little.
“She’s been jamming to this one since she was a baby,” Kelly exclaimed. “She loves this song so much.” The singer revealed that River also picked out her own dress. After a big hug and a “She looks beautiful!” River confessed, “Oh my God! I’m scared!” Kelly assured her that she “killed it in soundcheck!”
In the middle of the song, Kelly reminded River not to sing “hell,” and changed the word to “heck.” The two swayed together as they sang.
After the performance, Kelly gave River Rose a big hug and a kiss on the forehead. She shouted, “Give it up for River Rose everybody!” The young singer yelled into the mic, “Thank you everyone!” As River scooted off the stage Kelly said to her, “You look gorgeous, you did amazing, I love you!”

Kelly divorced River and Remy’s father, Brandon Blackstock in 2020
The songs from her album Chemistry details her seven year marriage to River and Remy’s father, Brandon Blackstock. Kelly separated from her husband in 2020. In the aftermath, the two battled over money and property before the divorce became final in 2021.
The expanded deluxe version of her tenth studio album chemistry, arrives September 22nd via Atlantic Records. The singer will celebrate the release of chemistry (deluxe) live from Rockefeller Plaza for the TODAY Show’s 2023 Citi Summer Concert Series on September 22nd, followed by a performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on September 23rd. She also joins the line-up for Audacy’s ‘We Can Survive” concert on October 14th at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Meanwhile on the small screen, her multi-Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, is preparing for a move to New York City for its upcoming 5th season (with the show having already been picked up through 2025).
