A couple divorcing often means they need to unload joint property. And on that note, Kelly Clarkson, amid her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, has been buying and selling property.
These days, the American Idol OG winner lives in Los Angeles to be close to her two major jobs–hosting the Emmy winning afternoon talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show and as a coach on the NBC singing competition The Voice.
Kelly finally sells Nashville area home after slashing price
Back in 2017, Kelly and her husband put their Henderson, Tennessee home up for sale, and it has finally sold for for $6.3 million. The 7 bedroom property on four acres was initially listed for $8.75 million, and was slashed again to %7.5 million. I believe the couple were selling the property because they bought land elsewhere. When Kelly separated from Brandon in spring 2020, the family, including their kids River Rose and Remington, shared temporary housing on land in Montana.
But now, Kelly has purchased a Colonial style home in the Toluca Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles, close to Universal Studios in Los Angeles. She purchased the property for $5.445 million. It is 5,000-square-feet with 5-beds and 7-baths, including the guesthouse, and comes with a chef’s kitchen, a rotunda-style breakfast nook and a fireplace. The property also features a swimming pool, spa, tennis court and gazebo.
Kelly is also selling a mansion she owns in Encino, CA, just a few miles west from her new property. She listed it for $9 million.
The Kelly Clarkson Show recently won 3 Daytime Emmys, including for Outstanding Entertainment Show and Outstanding Entertainment Host. The Voice season 21 returns this fall for a single cycle featuring Kelly alongside coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend and Ariana Grande.
Her messy divorce from Brandon Blackstock amid lawsuits flying both ways is ongoing.
