Who is The Voice 28 Finale Winner? The Top 6 Results Revealed!
The Voice 28 Top 6 sang for your votes on last night’s performance finale. And on tonight’s grand finale, The Voice crowns a winner.
The Top 6 includes Aiden Ross and DEK of Hearts from Team Niall Horan, Jazz McKenzie and Max Chambers from Team Michael Buble, Ralph Edwards from Team Snoop Dogg and Aubrey Nicole from Team Reba McEntire. The singers will perform a duet with their coach tonight.
The Voice 28 Top 6 Finale Predictions and Poll Results – Who Will WIN?
The show opens with the coaches singing with Neal Schon and Journey alongside the Top 6 contestants and various playoff contestants singing a medley of the band’s hits. They end with “Don’t Stop Believing.”
Next, it’s a time-wasting video featuring the coaches staring in a wild-west themed skit where Reba prevails. Then Santa shows up to declare whether the coaches have been naughty or nice. Har har har.
Next, Niall and his artist Aiden Ross chat about their partnership. But hey, season 23 winner Gina Miles will duet with Aiden on Wham’s “Last Christmas” because Niall is on vocal rest and cannot sing tonight. Niall mentions that she’s currently in the studio. It’s a very nice duet! Boss move: Aiden picks up a stuffed bear that fell over and then he gives it to Gina at the end. Aw….
Antics include Snoop giving Niall a gift “Niall on a crocodile.”
Now, Khalid takes the stage to sing a medley of his hits.
Next, Michael Buble and Jazz McKenzie appear in ugly Christmas sweaters to chat in a video package before the two take the stage to sing “Jingle Bell Rock.” Fun!
Now, season 26 winner Sofronio Vasquez will take the stage to sing. But not before coach Buble shares that he and David Foster, Paul Anka and more are helping to produce Sofronio’s debut. In a video clip, Sofronio meets Anka. Then he sings “Superman.” It’s very soft-rock lite. It would have killed in the 80s.
Now, country music star Riley Green performs his hit “Jesus Saves.” The singer accompanies himself on acoustic guitar.
Next, Reba and her artist Aubrey Nicole chat it up a bit before they take the stage to sing “Mary Did You Know.” Then, the coaches promote the upcoming Winter Olympics. Snoop will be involved. A hockey rivalry begins.
Next, Snoop and Ralph Edwards promote “Snoop on a Stoop” before they join forces to sing “This Christmas” by Donny Hathaway. Snoop can actually carry a tune, more or less.
Now, Michael Buble and Max Chambers talk about how their families have grown close. The two sing Elvis Presley’s “Blue Christmas,” but Michael also recorded a version of the classic song.
Time-wasting video clip features Michael and Snoop playing something called “The Friendship Game” or whatever.
XG make their American television dbu on The Voice. They are some kinda K-pop group. There are so many of them on stage (seven). The song isn’t particularly original, but the kiddos will like it, I guess. Their new album comes out in January.
Now it’s time for the last finalist/coach duet. Niall is featured in the video package with DEK of Hearts, but because he’s on vocal rest, the trio will sing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” with Reba. Probably better that she sing with the country group than Niall.
Next, season 28 mega-mentor Zac Brown joins Noah Cyrus for a performance of his song “Butterfly” that was originally a duet with Dolly Parton.
RESULTS
Finally! The six finalists take center stage with host Carson Daly. Oh dumb questions, oh how I’ve missed you (not). Aidan shares what he learned from his coach Niall Horan. DEK of Heart are thankful to their coach Niall. Then Aubrey speaks on the importance of Reba’s mentorship. Jazz thanks her coach Michael Buble. And finally Max speaks on “Mr. Buble.”
And the finalist in 6th place is Jazz McKenzie. Wow. She deserved to place higher. The finalist in 5th place is Max Chambers. Buble in the bottom! The finalist in 4th place is…Aubrey Nicole. The finalist in 3rd place is…DEK of Hearts!
Ralph and Aiden are the final two! Now it’s time for the coaches to share heartfelt feelings with their artists. “You already one” says Snoop to Ralph. Niall calls Aiden “one special talent.” Ooo he looks so nervous.
AND THE WINNER OF THE VOICE IS AIDEN ROSS!!! YAY!!!!!!
Niall Horan has coached artists on The Voice 3 times, and each time he came away the winner! He won with Season 23 singer Gina Miles, Season 25 winner Huntley and now Season 28 winner Aiden Ross.
