Lauren Alaina has a lot on her plate lately. The American Idol season 10 runner-up just revealed the release date of her upcoming book on social media.

Titled Getting Good at Being You–a play on her 2019 single “Getting Good”–the new book will be released in November. Just in time for holiday gift giving! The book includes a forward written by country star Trisha Yearwood.

Lauren wrote a message full of her usual puns, alongside a photo of the cover:

Be sure to BOOK your calendars for November 2nd. I’m releasing my WRITE of passage, Getting Good At Being You. Can’t wait for you to read it. It’s available for preorder online everywhere books are sold and on shelves in November. Thank you times a million to @trishayearwood for writing the foreword

The Amazon description where the book can be pre-ordered, describes the book further:

With a little bit of country, a whole lot of faith, and a healthy dose of sass, award-winning singer-songwriter Lauren Alaina’s debut book, Getting Good at Being You, invites you to take the road less traveled as you step right up to who God calls you to be.

After years in the spotlight on American Idol and Dancing with the Stars, country music star Lauren Alaina has learned a thing or two about fighting self-doubt and feeling at home in her own skin. In Getting Good at Being You, Lauren shares stories about everything from lost loves to getting a nose ring to battling an eating disorder to grieving a loved one’s death. Each story leads to practical tips, take-it-on-the-road strategies, and encouragement for your own personal and spiritual growth.

Earlier this year, Lauren also released her new single “Getting Over Him,” a breakup anthem featuring Jon Pardi. The pair performed the duet at the 2021 CMT Awards on June 9. And recently, she dropped a new single “If The World Was a Small Town.”

Additionally, the Dancing with the Stars alum stars in a new Hallmark romantic comedy, Roadhouse Romance, set to air in September.
