Carrie Underwood won her 23rd CMT Music Award Wednesday night (June 9) as she took home the Video of the Year trophy for “Hallelujah,” her Christmas collaboration with John Legend. The award was Legend’s first CMT.

Additionally, during the broadcast, the American Idol season 4 winner joined NEEDTOBREATHE on a circular outdoor stage in an empty field at Bonnaroo Farm in Tennessee for a performance of their collaboration, “I Wanna Remember.”

The band’s Bear Rinehart was also featured on Carrie’s recent gospel album My Savior. The CMT Awards performance served as the live debut of the song. Watch the performance below.
Additionally, American Idol season 10 singer Lauren Alaina joined Jon Pardi on the broadcast for their collaboration of Lauren’s single “Getting Over Him,” which is also the title track of her latest EP. The two performed the song at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee.
