Fantasia gave birth to her baby girl Keziah London on May 23. But since then, the infant has been in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
“Keziah was born a little too early but she is a fighter just like her Mother,” the American Idol season 3 winner wrote on Instagram May 26, three days after her birth. “When you see the words Strength, Determined, Perseverance, and Unbreakable think of Fantasia Monique Taylor.”
But now, the R&B singer shared the first photo of her two week old baby on Wednesday (June 9) as she held her, alongside the caption “Almost home.”
Fantasia shares Keziah with husband Kendall Taylor and is also mom to Dallas Xavier, 9, and Zion Quari, 19.

On Thursday, Fantasia posted a short clip from a recent photo shoot. “The Determination in me is the same thing I see in My Children,” wrote Fantasia, explaining she felt discomfort all through the shoot. “While I was doing this photo shoot I was having contractions the entire time. @mrdblanks @derickuscrawford @albert_montris & @kilprity were all asking if I wanted to stop or sit but I kept going because I wanted my pics.”
Fantasia believes her children have inherited that same determination. “#determined @zionbarrino_ is me all over again when I was her age, @keziahlondontaylor is me right now and Dally is my thinker and that’s me as well except he shows me how to think differently ( the word says in the last days a child shall lead) My Mini Me’s”

During her pregnancy Fantasia discussed the difficulty she had becoming pregnant. And she battled to keep from delivering the baby too early. “Good morning. We’ve been in the hospital all day,” she wrote on Instagram. “We have to stay in the hospital for a while. My baby girl thinks she’s missing something out here, but she’s got to stay in here a little longer.”
