Fantasia Hospitalized Due to Pregnancy Complications

Fantasia Gender Reveal

Fantasia, expecting her first child with husband Kendall Taylor, admitted herself to the hospital this week after experiencing early contractions. She’s only 6 months pregnant. In a series of Instagram stories, the American Idol season 3 winner shared her struggles with fans, and explained her condition.

“Good morning. We’ve been in the hospital all day,” she said. “We have to stay in the hospital for a while. My baby girl thinks she’s missing something out here, but she’s got to stay in here a little longer.”

Fantasia thanked and praised her husband

“I thank God for my husband. He’s over there knocked out, poor thing! He’s been riding in there with me,” she said, adding that her contractions were “starting to come down now.”

“My body is just tired, but we’ve got this,” Fantasia said during the posted clip. Watch it below.

But thankfully, Fantasia didn’t have to stay under the care of doctors for very long. A couple of days later, she posted an update, thanking fans, and letting them know she was home now. “We want to thank each and every person who called, texted and all those warriors who prayed for me and our family during this time,” Fantasia wrote next to a photo of her husband’s arms around her baby bump. “Both me and @keziahlondontaylor are being released today and are thankful to be going back home. Keziah is too ready to hit these streets but it’s not her turn just yet!”

Not only does Fantasia and Kendall’s baby girl have a name already–Keziah London, but she has her own Instagram page ready for photos, waiting for her entrance into the world.
