Ok, I was totally expecting Katy Allen’s (wife of Kris Allen, in case you didn’t know) new webseries, “The Bloodstone Diaries” to be totally cheesy. It’s not. The production, directed by fellow Arkansan Gerry Bruno, is actually a fairly engrossing (I’ll watch the next installment, for sure) thriller featuring Katy as a young woman whose simple life is destroyed when she finds a mysterious jewel.
Katy, has got some acting chops–she’s totally got this quirky Reese Witherspoon vibe going on, and is ompletely believable as a plucky, resourceful girl on the run from the bad guys. Plus, she gets to kick some ass, which is totally AWESOME!
The pilot for the series, “Sleeper” is posted after the jump. Bruno is hoping to attract investors so he can continue the series.
