Late last week American Idol 18 alums Francisco Martin and Grace Leer announced record deals with 19 recordings, the record label arm of Idol producer 19 Entertainment. Francisco finished in 5th place, while Grace made the Top 11.
Julia Gargano Signs Deal with American Idol’s 19 Recordings
Now, it appears that another season 18 alum, Julia Gargano, has also signed a deal with 19. The singer-songwriter from Staten Island, NY announced her deal on Instagram on Friday (Aug 21). Like Francisco and Grace’s deals, it appears the artist only signed with 19, instead of as a joint venture with another label, as these post-Idol deals are typically done.

Julia auditioned in front of the judges–Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan–with an impressive original song, “Growing Pains.” The singer left the competition at the Top 7.
Five season 18 contestants so far have nabbed record deals from 19 Recordings, including winner Just Sam, who signed with Hollywood Records/19 Recordings and Top 5 finalist, Dillon James who inked a deal with UMG Nashville, 19 Recordings and Hollywood Records.
