The Voice winner Jordan Smith released the official music video for his single “Stand in the Light” last week. The song is from the singer’s upcoming album, Something Beautiful, due out March 18. The video takes place in a beautiful theater. The song’s message of liberation and self-belief is fleshed out by a dance duo performing an elegant contemporary dance routine.

Jordan Smith Debut Album “Something Beautiful” out in March
“The theater we shot in [Warner Grand Theater in San Pedro, Calif.] was a true gem; you could feel the history in the walls of the auditorium. I feel the video perfectly combines the emotional power of music and dance to reach beyond words and speak to your soul,” Jordan told Yahoo Music where the clip debuted. “I am fortunate to have worked with [director] Matt Stawski and such an amazing team to bring the story of this song to life so beautifully.”
“Stand in the Light is a “very special” song to Jordan. When co-writer and the song’s eventual producer Stephan Moccio played it for Jordan, he “immediately knew” he had to sing it.
“The lyrics are so deeply moving,” said Jordan in a recent BTS video, “I feel like they embody everything I want to say to my fans. It truly is a song of my heart.”
