The rumors are confirmed. Antonio Brown, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ all-star wide receiver, announced on SportsCenter on Monday that he is joining Dancing with the Stars season 22.
The new season boasts TWO current NFL players. It hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, from the Denver Broncos, will also compete this season.
Antonio is the second Pittsburgh Steeler to appear on DWTS. Hines Ward won his season “The pressure is definitely on me to win,” Antonio said. “Hines already set the standard with Steeler nation.”
Hines advice to Antonio? “He told me just enjoy it, take what I can out of it, and have fun.”
As far as the success of NFL players on the show–Emmitt Smith and Donald Driver–Antonio said, “I think NFL guys pick up things really quickly. We love the big stage, being able to perform.”
Antonio is the third cast member to officially be confirmed for season 22. Fuller House’s Jodie Sweetin was the first celeb to be announced, while Good Morning America’s Ginger Zee announced on Friday’s GMA that she was dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy.
