Jordan Smith teased news to his fans via twitter yesterday, and here it is. The debut album from The Voice season 9 winner, Something Beautiful, will be out on March 18, according to a tweet from the singer.

The Republic Records release can be pre-ordered now, separately or as part of special merch bundles including a signed poster, at Jordan’s official website.

Jordan has also just signed a worldwide management contract with Sam Feldman and Steve Macklam of Macklam Feldman Management, according to Billboard.

“Jordan is such a rare and gifted artist. He has already captured the hearts of so many and he has only just begun,” Macklam said in a release. “We couldn’t be more excited to be working together.”

“The team at Macklam Feldman Management is truly unmatched and I couldn’t be more excited to work alongside them,” Jordan said. “The best is yet to come.”

Jordan is the best selling The Voice competitor so far, with 1.2 million tracks sold to date and 50,000 albums sold of his compilation CD Jordan Smith: The Complete Season 9 Collection. The Kentucky native is also the first act ever to capture both the Nos. 1 and 2 spots concurrently on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart.

Earlier this week, the singer mentioned in an Entertainment Tonight interview that the album would “come out really, really soon,” and that it was a good thing. “I’m dying, chomping at the bit, ready to get some new music out for everybody.”

As I mentioned in an earlier post, we’ll find out soon enough if The Voice fans who downloaded his singles during the competition, are still engaged. The cover he performed on People’s Choice Awards, “You Are So Beautiful,” back in January, was made available for download on iTunes afterward and never cracked the Top 100. But with aggressive promotion from Republic–a first for them when it comes to The Voice alum–maybe interest in Jordan can be rekindled.

He’s got a huge fan in actress Roma Downey, who is married to The Voice executive producer, Mark Burnett. She tweeted and instagrammed a photo of herself with Jordan, unabashedly fangirling, “Yes I am the self elected President of the Jordan Smith fan club ! ??Jordan , you and your Voice are a blessing to all of us #thevoice #jordansmith #romadowney.”

The album is executive produced by adult contemporary music king, David Foster. Jordan also tweeted about working in the studio with acclaimed gospel artist, Kirk Franklin.
