American Idol 2021 Top 7 finalist Hunter Metts is generally quiet on social media. But when he speaks up, he has something to say.

The singer-songwriter posted a note to his fans on Instram, revealing that he’s been a very busy guy lately, and he can’t hold back his excitement.

“Recorded a record, booked more shows”

“HI long time no see, recorded a record, booked more shows, getting v excited,” Hunter wrote on Instagram. “no time for pics I gtg practice more!!!”

It sounds like Hunter will be releasing new music sooner rather than later. And he NEEDS to book more shows. As the two already scheduled in his hometown, Franklin, Tennessee are SOLD OUT.  The first, coming up next Sunday at the Franklin Theater on August 8, sold out in 90 minutes!

““IS THIS REAL LIFE?!? LIVE at the Franklin Theatre AUGUST 8TH!!” Hunter wrote on Instagram. “Tickets went on sale this MORNING and we’re already HALFWAY SOLD OUT ??????!!!”

After those brisk sales, The Franklin Theater booked a second show set for a week later on Sunday August 15. “…overwhelmed by your support and can’t wait to SING MY HEART OUT (FOR A SECOND NIGHT) !!” Hunter wrote in a second Instagram post.

And if you didn’t get a ticket for show number two? OH WELL. The August 15 show sold out as well! Proof!

No wonder Hunter’s latest message is so happy.

Hunter Metts Memorable Moments

Hunter’s most memorable moment on American Idol came when  he broke down on live television after messing up the lyrics of “Falling Slowly.” During an appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show after he was eliminated from American Idol, he  observed, “In that moment, it was intense for me, but after coming off the show, the support has been amazing. ”

Making the Top 7 also meant getting the opportunity to record and release an original winners song that he wrote with Mark Irwin Abramson and co-produced with heavy-hitter Ian Fitchuk  Check out the romantic “20,000 Kisses” HERE.
