American Idol continues to use past successful winners as it promotes the upcoming season 14. The slogan this year is: SUPERSTARS MADE HERE.  Indeed, American Idol has produced artists who have gone on to do some pretty great things in diverse areas of show business. But these days, the show is struggling to graduate viable winners, as the last two champs, Caleb Johnson and Candice Glover pretty much disappeared from view after their seasons were over (Seasons 12 and 13, respectively).

In any case!  You can’t take away American Idol’s legacy. There’s no reason not to celebrate it!

  1. Those are some pretty legit accolades. But did they really put “14 American Country Awards” on there? Lol

  2. Pretty banners. I think they’re beating a dead horse with this “superstars” thing.

  3. Yes, yes, they are, on both counts. Pretty Banners and a Dead Horse. They set themselves up – and it’s So unnecessary. IMO. I wish they didn’t do that hyperbolic crap – even worse to use it as the slogan. I would love to read their definition of “Superstar” – I don’t think it would agree with Webster. smh.

  4. I noticed Idol will still air on Wednesday and Thursday. Although FOX executives said the show would cut back its hours, I wonder if it will now, after the failure of Utopia.

  5. Lol.
    17 Million Papis.
4500 split screens of JLo looking thoughtful.
    315 goosies.
25 gallons of water in JLo’s right ear.

  6. 2 nights a week could be a temporary arrangement until they get to finals. Then maybe cut back to 1 night?

  7. Getting there. Actually, P2 won a couple of weeks less than 2½ years ago (May 23, 2012).

  8. Good Question – FOX has time to fill. I hope that doesn’t mean more duets and trios, with the cast of Idol used as fillers again…
