After nearly killing a guy, America’s Got Talent: Extreme resumes taping the death-defying stunts that will make up the new AGT spinoff series.
NBC halted production back in October after a terrible mishap that occured during a rehearsal landed daredevil Jonathan Goodwin in the hospital. After an investigation, the show is back on track to complete filming and air sometime midseason 2022.
NBC has not announced a start date, but Frances Berwick, Chairman, Entertainment Networks, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said NBC may potentially air the show in a Sunday night midseason slot.
Remaining shows will tape in California
Simon Cowell and his fellow judges which include former WWE wrestler and reality star Nikki Bella and motorsports competitor and stunt performer Travis Pastrana plus host Terry Crews filmed the initial acts at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Georgia. However, according to On Camera Audiences, the show scheduled the remaining acts to film at the Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, Calif.
The filming schedule is aggressive, considering that the Omicron COVID-19 variant is spreading so rapidly and widely, that live network award shows such as The Grammys and Critics Choice Awards are postponing their January broadcasts.
Audience members MUST be fully vaxxed
However, unlike the Georgia venue which provided seating for the vaxxed as well as the unvaxxed, fans gotta be FULLY VAXXED to attend the upcoming tapings, period.
All the details and signups are at OnCameraAudiences.
