The clip, directed by Jordan Rossi, features Adam wearing a variety of outfits, including smart dark suit and wrap around sunglasses, a long white vest, track pants and black leather gloves, and a blue jacket and pants set. Known for re-imagining songs from American Idol to his stirring viral hit with Cher’s “Believe,” Adam Lambert brings fans High Drama, a diverse collection of covers with a twist, held together by Adam’s once-in-a-generation voice and trademark flair. The album, which includes “Holding on for a Hero” drops February 24.
As far as choosing to record a covers album now, Adam shared with Yahoo, “I do think that as a musician, as an artist, I’ve evolved a bit. I can look at a song and know exactly what I want to do with it now. And I feel more confident in those ideas.”
Earlier this month, Adam released Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World,” and has been performing it in various venues including The Voice 2022 finale. The album’s first release “Mad About the Boy” is out now.
