David Archuleta takes My Kind of Christmas nationwide

The tour got its name from a fan’s suggestion, playing off My Kind of Perfect, a track from David’s album The Other Side of Down. But once David had the name, he and a friend decided to write a new song using the title, and he’ll be singing My Kind of Christmas at the shows.

Well…so much for the no “stunt casting” edict Glee co-creator, Ryan Murphy made over the summer! Ricky Martin has been cast as “the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio.”

Ricky Martin’s instructor will also be musically inclined, headlining TWO big musical numbers in the episode, which is slated to air in late January.

The finale of NBC’s The Sing Off was up vs. last week, but down 37% from last year’s short season, and FOX wins November sweeps with Adults 18-49, CBS in total viewers.

David Cook’s tour manager Jody made a special request at the band’s show last night in Springfield MO. Jody was celebrating his 9th anniversary and in honor of his wife, he asked David to sing the 1997 hit “Bitch”. A weird request? Not at all when you consider that Jody’s wife is the song’s writer and performer, Meredith Brooks.

I’m not sure I believe this report from Now Magazine, that Simon Cowell is considering a judges swap that would send Nicole Scherzinger across the pond to London to sit on the X Factor UK panel, and Kelly Rowland, who is judging the British show this season to the US.
