On Monday, The Voice season 15 Battles continue. Check out this preview of Tyshawn Colquitt and Zaxai from Team Jennifer Hudson battle for a spot in the Knockouts to Khalid and Normani’s “Love Lies.”
Tyshawn, a 23 year old from Cincinnati, Ohio runs a pound cake business “Pound 4 Sound” with his mom. The singer entered a Russian singing competition show in which he placed in the Top 10 and was broadcast all over Europe. He’s also won singing contests at the Apollo in Harlem 6 times. The singer performed “Like I Can” by Sam Smith in the Blinds.
During the Blinds, Zaxai told a funny story about working a Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and accidently being kicked in the head by Kelly Clarkson backstage at one of her concerts. She apologized profusely. That was after Jennifer BLOCKED her gal from even turning for his performance of “Come and Get Your Love” by Redbone. The move made sure Team JHud had the singer all to herself.
The two will be mentored by Jennifer and her special guest advisor, pop singer Halsey.
