Friday night, during a Facebook live chat, Trent Harmon revealed a few tidbits regarding the release of new songs. The American Idol winner also performed “Redeemed” in honor of a member of Big Daddy Weave who has been experiencing serious health issues in the past week.
First, Trent’s new single, “There’s a Girl” hits radio stations Friday June 24. He doesn’t say if the song is available for digital download that day. Let’s hope so! The radio tour begins the following Tuesday, and he promises to keep fans up to date on his itinerary.
Also, part of the American Idol winner’s prize package was to record the theme song for the upcoming Ice Age movie. The song is finished, Trent says and according to IMDB, the film, Ice Age: Collision Course, comes out July 22. However, according to Trent, the song will be released before the movie opens.
Lastly, Trent performed “Redeemed” in honor of Jay Weaver, of Big Daddy Weave, who is experiencing “life changing” health problems. Due to an infection in his legs, he had both his feet amputated earlier this week. Trent asks that fans keep Jay in their prayers.
