Todrick Hall has been ordered to cough up six figures after being sued over unpaid rent.

The singer and choreographer bragged for months that he bought a mansion. He even gave a tour of the place in a Youtube video. The American Idol, Masked Singer and Celebrity Big Brother alum constantly reminded fans that he BOUGHT the house. “I have been wanting to buy a home for a very very long time, and this is a dream come true.” The house is massive, encompassing three floors with a pool, screening room, massive living space and walk-in closet and more.

But the truth is a little more complicated than that. He was supposed to be paying rent to the owner of the place–kind of a rent to buy deal–but stopped making payments. The owner of the house sued Todrick, and now he’s been ordered to pay up to the tune of six figures.

TMZ reports that according to new legal documents, a default judgment was entered against Todrick and now he’s liable for more than $102,000. Todrick was sued in March for allegedly failing to pay back rent on the Sherman Oaks home. The suit claimed his monthly rent was $30K and he had fallen behind.

Todrick’s been ordered to pay $100,000 in damages plus another $2K in attorney fees and costs.

A long history of ripping people off

Todrick left American Idol season 9 in the Top 16 back in 2010. Afterward, he became a Youtube and Broadway star. He appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race and finished in 2nd place as The Bull on The Masked Singer season 6.

Most recently, he came in second on Celebrity Big Brother, where his lying, cruel and double-crossing antics got him in trouble with his fellow housemates. The jury vote was nearly unanimous for his fellow final 2 contestant, Miesha Tate to win the show. The jury was so outspokenly hostile as they voted against him that afterward, Todrick canceled all press interviews. He eventually addressed the situation before he embarked on a tour.

Fans were so annoyed and disgusted by Todrick’s bad behavior that they went digging around and dredged up every scandal Todrick has ever been involved in, starting with ripping off a bunch of families back in 2009. He’s been accused of not paying his staff and dancers, and also sexual harassment.

  1. I guessing Todd didn’t pay his rent because he didn’t have enough money for it. No judge’s order can create cash where none exists.

  2. Ugh…I don’t remember Todrick from American Idol, but reading this article he sounds like a total jerk that’s extremely full of himself and thinks he’s more important and famous than he really is. How did he think he could afford a $30,000 a month rent? I’m glad the judge ordered him to pay, even though the owner may never get the money from him at least people know the truth about him now.
