Miley Cyrus and Adam Levine will each perform with their teams.
Here come the coaches. Adam gives coach Carson Daly a kiss on the cheek. Again. NO TIME TO WASTE. The Top 11 take the stage. Dumb, dumb question for Janice. What has she learned from The Voice? “I have to be ready for anything!” she says. Why is Jennifer the best coach for Davon? Their backgrounds are so similar, she says. The first two artists who are safe and moving on to the Top 10: America saved…from Team Blake…Chloe Kohanski. America also saved…from Team Adam…Addison Agen! The two obvious ones: No 1 and 2 on the iTunes chart this week.
After the break Miley Cyrus joins her team, Ashland Craft, Brooke Simpson and Janice Freeman to sing “Man I Feel Like a Woman.” They’re all suited up in tiger spots. Still pushing the girl power thang. It’s past the point of feeling hokey. The sangin’ is pretty good though.

The five remaining artists take the stage. The bottom 2 will be revealed. Keisha appreciates all the support especially from the country folk. She believes that crossing an R&B singer crossing over to country is something unheard of. Hi Keisha! Meet Mickey Guyton. She was even an American Idol Hollywood contestant, just like you! Contestant Adam says he’s had a fun time on Team Adam. America saved…from Team Miley…Ashland Craft. America also saved…Keisha Renee from Team Blake!!! America also saved…Shi’Ann Jones from Team Jennifer. Shi’Ann is safe and Janice bottom 2? YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME. Ugh. Janice Freeman is in the bottom 2, along with Adam Cunningham, who is making his second trip.

Adam Cunningham – Amazed by Lonestar – Adam isn’t a vocal powerhouse. but he does sing with feeling, which will help him here. TIME FOR HIM TO GO THOUGH. Sorry. Janice leaving the competition at this point would be a crime. Blake wishes he had performed that song last night, “you were able to dump your heart and soul into it.” Coach Adam calls it his best performance so far.

Janice Freeman – Chandelier by Sia – This song pick. She’s not messing around. She adds a bit of island flavor to the arrangement. This unique and powerful singer deserves to stay. Period. After the performance, Miley gushes about how honored she’s been to perform with Janice. She truly deserves to stay, says a tearful Miley. “You are The Voice. I am in complete shock.”

Damn. What is wrong with this world. Adam is dominating the vote 62% to 38%. Janice sang rings around him. ALL SEASON. She’s been singing rings around everybody. Janice and Miley are tearful as they thank each other, basically saying their goodbyes. This sucks. “I believe in heaven because of people like you,” says Miley.
America instantly saved…Adam Cunningham. You’ve done it again America! Mediocrity rules. YAY. I was a little nervous that Janice would be hurt by performing first. And I was right to be nervous. Still, I never, ever expected her to be eliminated. What’s more–Shi’ann had the “death spot” (statistically, performing 2nd or third is worse than performing first), sang horribly and tanked on iTunes again. What is the secret to her success?
Janice is one of the best vocalists in this bunch. She’s a real artist. Not a karaoke bone in that woman’s body. What a loss.
ETA: Here’s video of the full elimination. Note Adam Levine directs his final comments to BOTH singers. When his team member is saved, he does not look especially thrilled. Also, Miley and Janice’s tearful goodbyes are heartfelt and heartbreaking.
