So it’s almost like LeBron and Dwyane Wade, when they got together and put together that super team. I can’t do this, I can’t return to TV without you, baby.'” – Read more at CBS8

Katy Perry Opens Up About Being a Judge on American Idol: ‘I’m a Straight Shooter’ – “My personality is that I’m a straight shooter — almost to a fault,” says Perry. “I just value authenticity so much that it can sometimes get me into trouble, because I take this job really seriously. I don’t want to walk away from American Idol and just have a season go by and we don’t have any Kelly Clarkson because that means we’re just filling space on television and I really truly want to be able to do this exercise and make someone’s dream come true.” – Read more at People

Kelly Clarkson: When I was growing up, kids would get their asses kicked for being gay – “Well, not to negate Will [Young]’s or my own talent, but I think a lot has to do with us being the originals of something. We weren’t compared to other people because we were the first ones [to win those shows]. And I do think, too, because I have met Will a couple of times, that we’re both really strong in our character and know what we want and what we do and don’t like. I think we both base our decisions on what we love musically, and not necessarily the financial end. “A lot of people that I know in the business – and some of them have been on American Idol – they kind of do whatever it takes to get famous. I just don’t think that should be the end game. But I do think a lot of my success has been to do with the stars aligning. It’s taken hard work but a lot of it is timing, too.” – Read more at Gay Times

I think every actor is always curious when an opportunity comes their way, particularly with a new work, so it always piques your interest. New work, starring role, let’s take a look at it. Then I got to meet Peter [Galperin] and we quickly became very good friends. He is a hyper-intellectual fellow, very talented, and although this is really his first musical, I think it’s excellent.
