Because there seems to be some confusion–here’s what will happen tonight. Two contestants will advance to the Top 12 on each of the four teams–Team Adam Levine, Team Blake Shelton, Team Gwen Stefani, Team Pharrell Williams– via America’s vote. Each coach will choose ONE singer to round out the finalists.
No surprise. Emily Ann Roberts and her nostalgic Christian hymn climbed the charts overnight into the Top 10, qualifying the singer for an iTunes bonus. Now, her iTunes votes will be multiplied by 10. She’s a shoo in for America’s Vote on Team Blake.

Also overnight, Barrett Baber climbed to a more expected level, considering he performed a weepy ballad in the pimp spot. He leapfrogged over Madi Davis and Zach Seabaugh to sit behind Emily. He got pretty close to the Top 10, too. He may be voted in by America with Emily. If not, I cannot imagine a world where Blake cuts the dude he pimped to high heaven all season, even if it means an all country team. If Emily and Barrett are safe, I could see Blake choosing Ivonne Acero over Zach Seabaugh to add a little musical diversity to his team. I also thinks he prefers her.
Team Pharrell is a tough and heartbreaking case. Madi Davis should sail in on America’s vote, as it should be. But I’ll be a little bitter if wildcard Celeste Betton bests Evan McKeel with a mediocre performance. If Celeste and Madi are America’s picks, it would be perfectly reasonable for Pharrell to choose the talented Darius Scott or Mark Hood to advance. It kills me they are sitting at the bottom of the chart, along with Riley Biederer. Too bad pop girls and R&B singers. Singing show fans don’t like you. In short: I expect Madi and Celeste/Evan to be voted through by America. Pharrell will choose either Mark or Darius (probably Darius) to join them.
