The Voice will invite audiences back into the studio for its upcoming Season 21 Blind Auditions tapings, featuring coaches Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and new panelist, Ariana Grande. The tapings are for the upcoming fall 2021 cycle, the only cycle scheduled for the NBC 2021-2022 season.

The Voice 21 Blind Auditions tapings are scheduled for Monday June 21, Tuesday June 22, Wednesday June 23, Thursday June 24 and Friday June 25. Two tapings are scheduled for each day. However, if teams fill up fast, the schedule could run shorter.

Potential studio audience members MUST be vaccinated

However, there is a catch for potential audience members. Folks wanting to attend The Voice Blind Auditions MUST have a negative COVID test result no more than 2 days prior to the event. Information about how to get a free COVID test prior to taping will be provided upon registration.

Additionally, potential audience members MUST be fully vaccinated (i.e. taken your last shot of your vaccine by June 6, 2021).

That’s according to CDC guidelines which consider people fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose vaccine series or 2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine.

Face coverings are a must

Additional COVID-19 protocols for the upcoming tapings at Universal Studios in Hollywood include mandatory face coverings (silk mask, knit masks, and gaiter-style masks are not permitted) at all times unless otherwise instructed by a crew member. Audience members must be seated and be restricted to dedicated audience member areas and can’t be within six feet of cast or crew members.

The Voice finally ditches virtual audiences, but will there be spoilers?

While American Idol invited a limited live audience into their live shows this past spring, The Voice stuck to virtual audiences all the way through to the May finale.

One advantage of having The Voice stick to virtual audiences throughout the pandemic has been easy access to result spoilers, as audience members are made up of folks from all across the country. We’ll see if super-sleuths manage to spoil The Voice season 21 as fans return to the studio.
