The Voice 22 Recap: Top 5 Finale Performances

Reminder: A clip show airs beginning at 8 pm ET/PT and the actual 2 hour finale begins a 9 pm ET/PT. The will feature a bunch of celebrity performances including from Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert, Girl Named Tom, Kane Brown, OneRepublic and more. Coaches Camila Cabello, John Legend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani will perform with their final artists.

Host Carson Daly will reveal the WINNER at the end of the night!

Favorite Finale Performance

Bodie’s “Gratitude” captured over 35% of the “favorite performance” vote. That Bodie is first isn’t entirely surprising. However, I expected Morgan to come closer in second place. “Girl Crush” did not even earn 15%. Bryce placed at 5 and 6.

Bodie nabs almost half the votes in the SHOULD category, and over 50% in the WILL category. Brodie and Morgan are number 1 and 2 respectively in Youtube views. I have never been less sure of a prediction. There’s a nagging voice that says “DON’T COUNT OUR BLAKE’S COUNTRY ARTISTS.” I suspect they aren’t as online as some of the other fan bases.

Prediction

OK. If I’m wrong I’m wrong: 1. Morgan Myles WINS 2. Brodie is Runner-up 3. Bryce Leatherwood comes in third. 4. Omar Jose Cardona finishes fourth 5. Brayden Lape rounds out the Top 5.

Here is my thinking: Camila’s army will go full force for Morgan, while Blake’s fans split between 3 singers. Omar will finish ahead of young Brayden. The Team Legend singer’s big final performance of “Someone to Love” should earn him 3rd place, but country music will win out.
