On tonight’s (Nov 13) The Masked Singer, the Rottweiler sings Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill” and makes judge Nicole Scherzinger cry! Having said that, can ANYBODY deny that Rottweiler is American Idol season 5 alum Chris Daughtry? That voice, that passionate delivery, is unmistakable! Based on this performance, I doubt that Chris oops I mean Rottweiler will be leaving the competition.
Grab your family and see who let this dog out! The #RottweilerMask heats things up during an all-new episode of #TheMaskedSinger, TONIGHT at 8/7c on @FOXTV! https://t.co/9lKrEHUQUT

Also, each of the celebrity masks will present a personal item as a clue. Rottweiler’s item is a drawing of the guest judge, fellow pooch Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (AKA Robert Smigel) What’s the hint? Chris is not only a talented singer, but also a gifted artist. He has penciled several covers for both DC comics and Marvel. He LOVES Batman.
The below clip is hilarious. Rottweiler presents himself as a fellow pup, HIS SON, hoping Triumph will sign his work of art. Triumph is glad to sign it, but he’ll make sure judge Ken Jeong sings it…so it’s worth less, .
Some of the other clues revealed on the show include using the title of his “It’s Not Over,” references to the band LIVE. The band performed with Chris on the American Idol finale. Nods to being a “hungry competitor” who “rose to fame” and claiming “I’ve been judged from the day I stepped into this.” Also a reference to blue roses–Chris has a rose tattoo. That was just in his first appearance. Rottweiler’s second appearance referred to Rottweiler as an artist, to Chris’ home state, North Carolina, and his high school start in musical theater.
There will be MORE clues tonight, when The Masked Singer airs on FOX at 8 pm. Celebrity masks performing include Rottweiler, Flower, Ladybug, Tree, and Fox. One singer will be eliminated!
