Kelly Clarkson kicks off the 4th season of her afternoon talker, The Kelly Clarkson Show with an extravaganza Kellyoke performance featuring the Willie Nelson classic “On The Road Again,” Madonna’s “Music,” Aretha Franklin’s “Freeway Of Love” and Taylor Swift’s “Welcome To New York!”

In the clip, Kelly packs up her Los Angeles studio and boards her tour bus as she sings Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again.” The bus is a nod to the “Kellyoke” contest the singer held in major cities across the country earlier this month that allowed fans to sing a virtual duet with the American Idol OG winner.

The bus drives through suburbs as Kelly waves at passersby through the window. Her band magically appears as she sings on the bus.

Next, she’s performing outside to Madonna’s “Dance” as dancers move all around her. She strolls by restaurants and coffee shops before she’s back on the bus to sing Aretha’s “Freeway of Love,” before finally arriving in New York City. As she sings Taylor Swift’s “Welcome to New York,” she strolls into the studio with her dancers, shouting “What’s up New York!”

Garth Brooks and Kenan Thompson featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show premiere

Kelly filmed a week of shows in front of a live studio audience for the second year in a row at the Appel Room within Frederick P. Rose Hall, the Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center.

“I can’t believe it’s already season 4! We are feeling so blessed by all the support we’ve received and are feeling so inspired and excited to keep connecting with y’all!,” Kelly said in a press statement. “I had a great summer off, but I missed my team and we are refueled and ready to have some fun and highlight some incredible stories and people!”

For the premiere episode, Kelly welcomes the legendary Garth Brooks for an intimate journey of songs and stories from the road. She talks to a hero coal miner who waded into the devastating flood in eastern Kentucky to help save neighbors and families. Additionally, Kenan Thompson also drops by before he hosts the Emmy Awards tonight on NBC.
