Monday Morning Mediabase 09/12/2022

There are a half-dozen milestones to celebrate this week on the Monday Morning Mediabase report.

Morgan Wallen continues to live is best Country life with yet another single hitting the top 5 with barely taking any rests. “You Proof” is from the Voice contestant’s TBA album. Meanwhile, his 2021 album is making milestones of its own. “Dangerous: The Double Album” climbs from fifth to second on the BB200 this week with 48K equivalent units (-5% from previous week). The album has broken the record for an album from a singular artist with the most number of weeks in the top 10 that it previously held with “Peter, Paul and Mary”. At 86 weeks, it is 8th on the overall chart and could tie two albums next week. The top 7 are all soundtracks or cast recordings.

“Harry’s House” from X-Factor’s Harry Styles is also still on the chart. This week it is 5th on the BB200 (9th last week) with 43K in equivalent sales (+2%). Harry also manages to hit 4 airplay milestones with singles from that album. Two of those milestones are on AC where “Late Night Talking” goes top 15 while “Music from a Sushi Restaurant” goes top 45. “Music from a Sushi Restaurant” also goes top 40 on HAC while “As it Was” goes top 30 on the tough to crack AAA chart.

Staying with the X-Factor UK franchise, Louis Tomlinson (who used to be in One Direction with Harry Styles) also hits a milestone this week. “Bigger Than Me” is going for adds later this week, but has already entered the top 40 on Pop. Louis also spent time as an X-Factor UK judge (his team won).
