Recently crowned EGOT winner, Jennifer Hudson, is moving on to her next big project. Her daytime talk show, The Jennifer Hudson Show has been cleared in over 95% of the U.S. by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television and Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

The new show will air on FOX Television Stations, Hearst Television, Sinclair Broadcast Group, TEGNA, Nexstar Media Group, Scripps Media, and Gray Media Group, and more. It will premiere Sept. 12.

A group of Ellen Degeneres Show producers are heading over to help the American Idol alum launch her new venture. That includes Mary Connelly, Andy Lassner and Corey Palent, who will serve as executive producers and showrunners. Jennifer, Lisa Kasteler Calio, Graehme Morphy and Walter Williams III will also executive produce, while Shani Black (Red Table Talk, Dr. Phil) will serve as co-executive producer.

“I’ve worked with Mary, Andy and Corey across multiple shows for the past nine years, and I’m thrilled that we’re able to keep them in the family because they are truly the best in the business,” said Mike Darnell, President, Warner Bros. Unscripted Television said in a statement about the overall deal the producers signed with Warner Bros. “With Jennifer’s incredible talents, and the addition of Lisa, Graehme, Walter and Shani to the producing team, I know this show is going to be fantastic and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

As an aside, Darnell became aware of Jennifer’s “incredible talents” when she competed on American Idol in 2004, and he was head of FOX’s unscripted television. He was part of the team who helped bring Idol to FOX television.

The Jennifer Hudson Show is produced in Los Angeles by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Telepictures and distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.

Online, Jennifer celebrated the launch of her new show. Who knows, maybe she’ll win another Daytime Emmy. But she’ll have to fight her fellow American Idol alum, the OG Kelly Clarkson for it. The Kelly Clarkson Show is nominated in nine categories this year.

The Battle of the Idol Talk Show Hosts is on.
