Pitbull to Perform on Empire with Jussie Smollett

Because, you know, Pitbull is ubiquitous, and EVERYWHERE, (Who is sick of seeing him on every awards show, always?) FOX announced at the Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday, that the international musician and actor will guest-star and perform on FOX’s hit Empire. The musician will play himself and perform “No Doubt About It” with Jamal (Jussie Smollett), in an episode slated to air this fall.

Pitbull joins a prestigious list of actors and musicians who will make appearances on Empire, including Marisa Tomei, as Mimi Whiteman, a billionaire venture capitalist who has a taste for fine ladies, and pop singer and former X Factor judge, Kelly Rowland, who will pop in as Lucious’ mom in flashbacks.  The Wire‘s Andre Royo has been cast in the recurring role of Thirsty Rawlings, the unethical and shady lawyer who works with the imprisoned Lucious. Rapper, Ludacris, has been tapped to play what appears to be a law enforcement officer. Becky G. and Yani Marin have also been added.  And Empire creator, Lee Daniels, announced at her Walk of Fame ceremony in Hollywood, that Mariah Carey would appear. Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz are also set to guest star.

So many guest stars, so little time.  I never get sick of seeing Pitbull on my TV, on every award show ever, and now my favorite TV show.
