Mary Lambert the Seattle-based singer/songwriter who collaborated with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis on the hip/hop duo’s LGBT rights single “Same Love” began dating pop singer Michelle Chamuel after her run on The Voice 4 in 2013. And finally, 3 years later, the duo have collaborated on a song.
“IT’S HEEEERRRE!!” Mary tweeted announcing her new song, “‘Hang Out With You’ is officially here!! 3 years later, @michellechamuel & I finally wrote a song.”
Michelle not only co-wrote “Hang Out With You” with Mary, but she produced and engineered the track as well.
There’s a video to go along with the new tune, and it’s pretty adorable. In it, Mary plays hooky from work to hang out with her golden retriever. At the beach, she meets Michelle and next thing you know, the two are canoodling at a backyard party. You might develop a cavity or two watching the clip, directed by Zoe Rain and produced by Mary.
