Phillip Phillips: I feel that these songs took my voice to places I hadn’t gone with it. As a songwriter as well, I think it’s the best I’ve written. It just sounds so timeless. That’s something that I always want to do and try to do. I feel like this is the best sound quality I’ve had on an album. I wrote just about all these songs in Nashville, and that’s what helped too.
