His One Direction bandmate Harry Styles is said to have recently signed an $80million record deal with Columbia.
And Niall Horan is hoping to replicate his success as he was spotted at Tileyard Studios in North London on Sunday to finally start work on his solo album.
The 22-year-old popstar is no doubt going to delight his fans as he prepares to release new material while One Direction enjoy a hiatus.

Though Niall Horan is best known for his role as a One Direction star, he recently appeared on the cover of Today’s Golfer alongside golf star Justin Rose. The 350th issue of the famed golf magazine was released on July 6, and talks about Horan’s ever-growing love for the game since 1D went their separate ways.

It’s been a whole two months since Harry Styles revealed that he’d trimmed down his signature shaggy hairdo in an Instagram post simply captioned ‘whoops’.
And while it was since revealed that he put his precious tresses under the scissor blade for a role in the World War II drama Dunkirk, the star has kept his head covered under hats off the set.
But the 22-year-old British star’s sister Gemma took to her Snapchat on Monday – America’s Independence Day – to finally share an image of her sibling in all of his trimmed glory.

He’s making his acting debut in Christopher Nolan’s war epic Dunkirk.
And Harry Styles, 22, didn’t look fazed by cutting his teeth on such a high profile role as he filmed scenes for the film in Urk, Holland, on Friday.
The One Direction singer looked focused throughout the shoot which saw him dressed as a World War Two soldier. He wore a look of deep concentration on his face, with the star no doubt keen to deliver an authentic performance.

And last week Big Brother’s Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark said the couple may soon share another milestone, revealing they are likely to have children in the years ahead.
Speaking to new! magazine, the Xtra Factor host said: ‘It’s something I’d like to do but only when the time is right. I’ve always said I wouldn’t have kids unless I was in a financial situation where I knew I wouldn’t have to worry, and I’m fortunate enough to be in that now.’

But The X Factor mentors proved they had a great sense of humour when they sent giant puppets down the red carpet instead of themselves at a photocall on Saturday.
Simon Cowell, Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh were replaced by lookalikes sporting huge papier mâché heads outside the SSE Arena Wembley in London ahead of filming the Six Chair Challenge round.
