An American Idol judge and a The Voice coach join forces in Italy! Respectively, Katy Perry and John Legend sang a lovely rendition of “Moon River” from the 1961 classic movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s starring Audrey Hepburn.
The two singers performed the song Saturday night (July 31) for the fourth edition of the LuisaViaRoma for UNICEF gala at the Certosa San Giacomo of Capri.
“Since we’re here to raise money for UNICEF, for those in need and vulnerable,” said Katy before the duo’s performance, “We thought we would pay homage to another Goodwill Ambassador, by the name of Audrey Hepburn, who sings this beautiful song, “Moon River.” Hepburn traveled the world on behalf of UNICEF, staring in 1988 until her death in 1993.

“Everyone is enjoying being fancy tonight but it’s so important the work UNICEF is doing to make the world better,” John told People magazine at the event.
Katy and John’s partners, Orlando Bloom and Chrissy Teigen, were also in attendance.
People reports that Katy and John performed some of their hits during separate sets throughout the night. The Katy played “Firework” and even kissed a fan’s hand during an encore performance of her 2008 hit “I Kissed a Girl.”
“This is better than being stuck in a room and we get to dress up,” Katy said from the stage during her set.
More than €5 million was raised in support of UNICEF’s work to provide care and protection to vulnerable children across the globe.
American Idol 2021 alum Graham DeFranco commented on Katy’s Instagram post: “Pls give me back my dress ty.”
