Katy Perry Firework Celebrate America

Katy Perry ended the Celebrating America special with a bang. Literally! The American Idol judge performed her massive hit song “Firework” as literal fireworks shot across the sky behind the Washington Monument.

Celebrating America, which aired in primetime across many network and cable news stations, marked the swearing in of Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris, as President and Vice-President of the United States. The special featured a slew of A list performers, including John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, Demi Lovato, Bon Jovi, Tyler Hubbard and Tim McGraw and more. Actor Tom Hanks hosted.
