Katy Perry ended the Celebrating America special with a bang. Literally! The American Idol judge performed her massive hit song “Firework” as literal fireworks shot across the sky behind the Washington Monument.
Celebrating America, which aired in primetime across many network and cable news stations, marked the swearing in of Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris, as President and Vice-President of the United States. The special featured a slew of A list performers, including John Legend, Bruce Springsteen, Demi Lovato, Bon Jovi, Tyler Hubbard and Tim McGraw and more. Actor Tom Hanks hosted.

For the afternoon swearing in ceremony, Lady Gaga sang the National Anthem, Jennifer Lopez sang “This Land is Your Land,” and Garth Brooks performed “Amazing Grace.” A young poet, Amanda Gorman recited her own poem. Click here to watch all the performances.
